Îyârhe Nakoda

Upstream on the Bow River is the Nakoda nation. They were named the "Stoney" by settlers who noticed their technique to boil soups using stones from the fire. We might have to try that in our next soup creation, eh Chef Rick?

Niitsitapi

The Blackfoot peoples traditionally followed herds of buffalo migrating throughout the Great Plains as far north as the Bow River, an area that became Treaty 7 territory, a treaty that the Blackfoot oversaw.

Tsúùtínà

Separating from northern tribes in the 1700's, the Tsuut'ina peoples settled south of the Bow River in Blackfoot territory, who named them the Sarcee, or "stubborn ones". Understandably, it is now viewed as an offensive term.

We strive to earn livable wages, vacation, and profit sharing; in four day workweeks. This will be possible with the efficient systems we’ve designed to deliver high value meals at affordable rates. We want the best for one another!

Local

We support local food suppliers, farms, and businesses. We are entirely supplied by Canadian companies, and every item you receive is made in Canada. We make all our sauces and meals in house from whole foods and healthy oils.

Community

Every week, we craft extra meals for the community. A local non-profit helps with this most weeks, but check our social pages to help steer where some week’s meals arrive. Every quarter, we sponsor a local family who would benefit from community support with weekly meals.

Efficiency

By preparing meals simultaneously, we significantly reduce food waste and require less energy when compared to traditional restaurants. Sending out food once a week has positive impacts!

Impact

By using whole-food, plant-based ingredients, our delivered meals have less than 50% of the environmental impact of food arriving on a traditional Canadian plate.

Life-cycle

We've researched the very best ways to use materials for our food delivery. The result is a combination of certified compostable and highly recyclable products, which are all made in Canada.

Jasen discovered the amazing world of plant-based nutrition through his hunger for knowledge and surprised himself by switching from a heavily meat-focused diet. Food has been a consistent passion through careers in professional engineering, time as a DJ/Producer, and a serious passion for yoga. Jasen values community and enjoys organizing exciting events.
